The 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala better known as the Met Gala took place last night. The theme was Punk: Chaos to Couture.
Beyonce in Givenchy. Not my favourite looks from her but spot on with the theme.
Kim Kardashian also in Givenchy with Kanye West in Riccardo Tisci. I don’t like the fact that we don’t know where Kim’s arms start and end in this number.
Madonna also in Givenchy took the theme too literally, just. too. much. Katy Perry in Dolce & Gabana, Katy’s looks have been a bit dowdy lately, I don’t know what is going on with her and the hemline of this dress is not flattering.
Sarah Jessica Parker in Phillip Treacy, trust that SJP will go over the top. I am not sure about the tartan boot, love the Mohawk thing on her head.
Christina Ricci in Vivienne Westwood an explosion of tartan, I don’t like it, looks like a kilt gone wrong.Anna Wintour in Chanel with her daughter Bee Shaffer in Dior. The ombre embellishment on Bee’s dress makes it look cheap and Anna’s floral print is not winning.
Alicia Keys in Jason Wu added red highlights to her hair for a little punk but her dress is too safe. Kerry Washington in Vera Wang.
Rooney Mara in Givenchy the dress is beautiful I am just not a fan of the zips. Heidi Klum in Marchesa I feel like I have seen this dress on Heidi so many times.
Gwen Stefani in Margiela, such an easy theme for Gwen to rock and she decided to keep it simple. Chanel Iman in J Mendel she added a touch of colour in her hair for the theme and played it safe with this on trend striped dress.
Nicole Richie in Topshop her makeup and hair delivered. Rita Ora in Thakon she always takes risks and decides to play it safe at the Met, I don’t get it.
Emily Blunt in Carolina Herrera love the top knot bun and punk make up, the dress is too safe and boring. Taylor Swift in J Mendel.
Emma Watson and Miranda Kerr showed some skin and looked gorgeous.
Anne Hathaway in Valentino she is not recognisable with her blonde hair, I love this look, she stuck to the theme but she still looks so classy. Nina Dobrev also rocked a classy punk look in Monique Lhullier.
Jessica Alba in Tory Burch she looks cute. Joan Smalls with Tom Ford in one of his designs.
Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors love, love love! The coif, the print, errthing, just love, knocked it out of the park!
Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs too much.
Giuliana Rancic in Falguni and Shane Peacock and Eve rocked a goth look.

Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney love this look, stuck to the theme but still looking classy, just be careful of the spikes on that belt. Solange Knowles in Kenzo she looks so afro punk.
Nicki Minaj in Tommy Hilfiger played around with her hair to suit the theme. Naomie Harris in Donna Karan and the feathers?
Kate Bosworth in Balmain. Kristen Stewart in Givenchy, I love the colour of her jumpsuit.
Kate Beckinsale in Alberta Ferretti, I love the punk earrings. Lala Anthony in Zac Posen looks nothing punk though..
Gwyneth Paltrow in Valentino its just way too much pink even for punk. Ashley Olsen in Dior.
